    Coincidence? I think not!
Something interesting happened to me yesterday night. I was on my way to a club with my friend Wayne and he suddenly saw a playing card lying in the street. He picked it up and asked me what it was after he had made a guess himself. I said '5 of spades' and that turned out to be the correct answer! As with everything, I think it was meant to happen. Or maybe I'm really telepathic, am orginally from Auron and have a clone double walking around somewhere. My languages skills must also be linked to my telepathy somehow. :-)
The club was boring, but we got in for free because we picked up some flyers from the nearby gay sauna. I did get some looks from a hunky guy, and if I'd gone over to him, I might have pulled and had some fun with him. However, it wasn't meant to be...

    Coincidence? I think not!
Writing from work again, even though I now have broadband at home. Nice to be able to watch the Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, etc. news again. I will try to find a fuck buddy on the Net, which will ensure that I can have regular shags. :-)

I realise more and more that nothing happens by chance. For example, when I went to a sauna in Covent Garden recently I met this lorry driver who reminded me very much of my ex. I fell for him, even though he was not looking for a relationship. Life taught me that I had to stop being so obsessed about trying to find a boyfriend, as I will find my Mr Right eventually. Also, I have all these librarians in my life, two of them are even both called Peter! Now that I'm teaching, I meet lots of teacher. Before I met people working at theatres or actors because I was trying to become an actor. An interesting thing that happened to me when I visited a bar which had a strict dress code of sportswear on that particular night, was that it seemed like I saw an older version of myself. When I looked again, he seemed to have vanished...

My parents were here over the weekend and it was lovely to be with them. I love them very much and everything they still do for me. It is really nice that I am now able to have father-son chats with my dad. We're much closer now than we ever have been.

It is really quiet at work. I receive hardly any calls. Well, at least it's not stressful. I stimulate my brain by studying some Chinese during my breaks. One of my goals for this year is to get a reasonable grasp of that language. Another one is to eventually take singing lessons.

Some great news is that I am going to teach Swedish on Wednesday evening! I am so happy about this. I got the contract through a company called Conversation Piece. In the future I want to be able to teach full time.

As for CSI:Miami, I watched 'Lost Son' in its entirety yesterday night. It resulted in me crying my eyes out. Especially Khandi's performance was incredibly moving. Somehow I really like episodes in which a major character dies because I can work through emotions of losing a person who is very dear to me, which I know will happen to me several times during my life. Unfortunately death is part of life, so seize the day, everyone, and don't waste your energy having negative thoughts!

    ChaRiots
I misspelt the word 'Chariots' in a previous post. How could I do this, when I have visited their saunas loads of times? Ah well, I'm only human after all. :-)

    Megan will fix it!
Yes, I've uploaded yet another userpic! This time of the lovely Kim Delaney, who unfortunately didn't last very long as Megan Donner in CSI:Miami. On the pic you can see her next to David Caruso, who like her is wearing shades. :-) It is my and my big sister's belief that Horatio wouldn't have got himself into the mess he's in if Megan was still around. Now I'm going to enjoy my well-deserved lunch break.

    Stetler's the man!
Have just uploaded another user pic, this time of the handsome Rick Stetler from CSI:Miami, played by David Lee Smith. He's not the bad guy many people make him out to be. In fact, I think the show needs him. He also provides some welcome eye candy. More shots of him just wearing a T-shirt, please. Yes, I'm still very fond of Horatio, but he's definitely no saint and Rick is not the devil...

    Poor Becks...
I uploaded a new user pic of the beautiful Rebecca Nevins, a character from CSI:Miami played by the talented Christina Chang. She never got a chance to develop and the writers seemed to change her personality according to what the plot called for. This is my little tribute. She's better off without H and is now probably shagging a gorgeous copper or something. :-)

    Valentine's/Day of All Hearts/Friends Day
Happy Valentine's Day everyone, or as it's called in Sweden 'Day of All Hearts' and 'Friends Day' in Finland. I went out clubbing Sunday night with a friend and a huge polystyrene heart fell on top of us! This must be a sign that we both will find more than just an occasional sex partner soon. The heart was broken on one side, but as far as I can remember that wasn't the side that hit us.
I've started studying for my distance learning course in Swedish. It's great to be a student again. Being a language whore, I love the subject. :-) I chose the modules Cultural Communication and Swedish from a Didactic Perspective (The latter module is especially useful considering the fact that I want to become a teacher).
I bought myself a sketch book and also got a sketch pad from my big sis. I should start sketching soon. Maybe I should start with drawing a gorgeous man on the tube.

I've come back from the dead!
Hi all. As Spacefall pointed out to me after I spent a lovely weekend with her and my big sis, it is about time I updated my journal. I'm now working for a company in East London near Liverpool Street Station. It is located very close to the biggest gay sauna in the country (I think), a branch of Charriots, which is nice. :-) My job is to provide telephone support to (at the moment) Norwegian car dealers, who call us when they have questions regarding an online system which they use to create a website about their business. I also do some admin work completing invoices. Apart from this, I'm now giving English private tuition to my ex's Portuguese ex (Sounds a bit complicated). This is what I enjoy most of all. I love being a teacher and am now sure it's my calling. Acting is actually quite similar to teaching because both professions are about entertaining, among other things. Now I'm going to walk home from work to where I live in North West London, as I've run out of money...! Take care, people.

    Job change again
Hi again. Today I stopped going to the telemarketing company where I got myself a temporary role making calls to the Netherlands and Belgium. The money wasn't good enough and I was just fed up having to travel to zone 6 at the edge of Greater London. Have been applying for other, in this case permanent, positions and need to call a recruitment agency when I leave here to discuss a translation job they have on the go using my Nordic language skills.

    Quickie
Just a quickie. I applied for the distance learning course in Swedish. Need to call my foster dad in Sweden because I haven't heard what's happened to my application yet. Am now working as a telemarketer, but am looking for something that pays better. Have to go now, as I've only got one minute left. Hope you're all well.

    Changed my life around
First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their hearty welcomes. I have just uploaded a picture as my icon. It shows the Nordic region. I spent several years in Sweden, which was a very important and intense period in my life. During that time I came to really love Sweden, the Swedish language and eventually considered it as a second mother tongue. I am fluent in Swedish now and my command of Norwegian, Danish and Finnish is also very good. The fascinating Icelandic language I only have a basic grasp of, but I intend to study it further. I did a lot of travelling in the Nordic countries and very much like the societies and all the space and lovely scenery they have to offer, although I don't want to live there. What I want to do is teach Swedish as part of Nordic studies at university and do a lot of research. I have realised that acting is not for me. It is not what I am passionate about. I enjoy watching actors on stage, television and in films, but that's it. In the end I really did not want to go to class anymore. I decided I should spend my time studying languages. I have an amazing linguistic talent, which I shouldn't throw away and share with others. My Swedish foster dad has said that there's a possibility to do Swedish Language C (I've already done A and B) as a distance learning course. Apart from that, I need to study the ins and outs of being a teacher.

I'm trying to find market research work to support myself. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.
